To the editor:
I am writing to thank all involved in the Campbell-Dickinson St.Patrick Day Run/Walk that was held in Toronto on March 17. It was a beautiful day and the attendance was remarkable.
The many people involved did such an excellent job and donated not only their services, but their time as well. That includes the Toronto Police Department, TEMS, the beauticians who shaved the heads or cut the hair of the volunteers for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and for Locks of Love, the City of Toronto, the Toronto Coalition for Revitalization, Trinity Nursing School, the Masons of Toronto and the many, many others who participated or donated in any way for this event.
Our son, Conner, was asked to take part in this event and become the poster child for it. We were honored to take part in such an important event bringing awareness to cancer, such a serious disease that touches all of us at some point.
My family and I want to thank everyone involved again, from the bottom of our hearts, especially George Komar. Thank you for the opportunity and we hope to see everyone again next year.
