FOLLANSBEE - City Police are seeking information about a man who broke into a business on state Route 2 early Thursday.

City Police Chief John Schwertfeger said the front window of K&J's Skip N Go at 565 Main St. was broken and cash and cigarettes were taken from the business at about 1:48 a.m.

He said a video camera at the store shows a white man, between 5-foot-8-inches and 6-foot tall, at the scene.

The man was wearing a black knit cap with a black bandanna over his face, black hooded sweatshirt and black shorts that extended just below the knee, Schwertfeger said.

City Police also are investigating an attempted break-in at the rear entrance of The Winemaker's Loft, which is on the 800 block of Main St.

A doorknob and deadbolt cover were knocked off the door, but no entry was gained, police said.

Anyone with information about either incident should call City Police at (304) 527-1211.
