Juniors in the cosmetology program at the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School practiced shaping the hair of a mannequin during a recent lab session. The program features a salon in which students can learn a variety of styles, cuts, colors and manicures. Those taking part in the program include juniors Kira Anderson, left, and Ryle Wade. Appointments are available from 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday at the school, located at 1509 county Hwy. 22A in Bloomingdale.
