Camera club holds contest
WINTERSVILLE — The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club has announced the top finishers from January’s competition, which focused on the subject “Jewelry,” and February’s competitions, which featured the theme “Mirrors.”
Members entered several submissions taken on the related topics, with January’s top finishers including: Karen Felix, first place; Gina Judy, second place; and Sharon Slokan, third place.
The open category finishers included Dennis Jones and Michelle Stevens tieing for first; Barb Momyer, second; and John Hanish, third.
Those who placed in the special effects category included Momyer, first; Sue Adey and Slokan, who tied for second; and Karen Felix and Stevens, who tied for third.
The category top finishers to the theme “Mirrors,” included Adey and Slokan, who tied for first place; Jenny Riegler, second place; and Hanish, third place.
The open category winners were, Adey, first place; Jones, second place; and Riegler, third.
Special effects category top finisher included, Adey, first place; Riegler, second place; and Slokan, third place.
The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club welcomes anyone who has an interest in photography, whether it is through the use of a camera or cell phone, to attend the group’s meetings.
The next meeting of the camera club is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, located at 1085 Canton Road in Wintersville. The meeting is held on the lower level in the social hall, officials noted.
