Edison to perform ‘Cinderella’
RICHMOND — A classic fairy tale is coming to life, as the vocal department at Edison High School plans to present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, “Cinderella.”
Performances are scheduled to take place Feb. 28 and March 1 in the school auditorium. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The curtains will rise at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens. Children ages 3 and under, along with veterans, will be admitted free of charge.

Based on the Broadway version, the “enchanting story” follows a young woman who is forced into servitude by her cruel stepmother and stepsisters. She dreams of a better life and ultimately, encounters a fairy godmother.
This leads to her meeting a prince during a “magnificent ball” and having a chance for a happily ever after.
The cast includes: Jordan Hughes as Ella; Kyle Martin as Topher; Becca Bell as Madame; Maddie Granatir as Sebastian; Sydney Frampton as Marie; Leila Cable as Gabrielle; Nikolas Kline as Jean-Michel; Dominic Grim as Lord Pinkleton; and ensemble players Neveah Hunter, Lauren Watters, Michelle Davis, Daleanee Devore, Gracie McPeek, Kloe Riley, Kallie Granatir and Ava-Marie Harris.
Daleanee Devore will portray Charlotte on Feb. 28, while Kloe Riley will portray Charlotte on March 1.
