WINTERSVILLE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a Nov. 5 collision that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old male.
Highway Patrol officials said Aidan Hendricks, 18, of Wintersville was driving an off-road motorcycle on Bantam Ridge Road at about 12:55 p.m. when he struck the side of a commercial roll-off truck as it was backing west into a private drive.
They said Hendricks was wearing a helmet and protective eyewear but succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident and was pronounced dead at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
The highway patrol reported the truck was driven by Zachary Lunsford, 47, of Wellsburg.
Also responding to the collision were the Cross Creek Township and Wintersville police and Wintersville Fire and Rescue.
Hendricks’ obituary states he was a 2024 graduate of Indian Creek High School working as a mechanic at Snyder Tire.
