PAUL POPP
Paul A. Popp, 83, of Steubenville, died peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Valley Hospice. He was born July 19, 1941 in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Anthony and Irene Waszil Popp. Paul is also preceded in death by his brother Anthony Popp and sister Jackie Boyce.
Paul was retired from the U.S Postal Service where he was a Letter-carrier for 42 years. He was a member of AARP and Holy Family Catholic Church. Paul was an avid golfer and a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School class of 1959. He also served his country in the U.S. Army for 4 years.
Surviving are his wife Gloria Bianco Popp, whom he married November 24, 1962; one daughter Kristi (Corey) Bihler of Delaware, OH; one sister Judith (Vince) Marshall of Steubenville; three grandchildren Mary Rose, Max & Joey Bihler.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 3-6 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held Wednesday at 12 pm at Holy Family Family Catholic Church, Fr. Drake McCalister will celebrate. Burial will be held at a later date.
